On 22 November 2025, the New Zealand Chinese Business Club (NZCBC) proudly hosted the 2025 Chinese Business Awards at Cordis Hotel, Auckland. The event brought together over 500 prominent business leaders, government officials, and diplomats from New Zealand and China, celebrating excellence, innovation, and the achievements of the Chinese business community in New Zealand.

A Night of Recognition and Inspiration

The evening opened with a welcome speech by Dr Jian Yang, Chair of the NZCBC. Dr Yang emphasised the club’s mission to provide a dynamic platform for business networking, information exchange, and cross-industry collaboration. He highlighted the club’s role in supporting government decision-making, promoting international business exchanges, and fostering New Zealand–China economic cooperation.

Keynote speeches were delivered by:

  • Nicola Willis, New Zealand Minister of Finance and Economic Growth, who praised the Chinese business community for its outstanding contributions and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting business development.
  • Ambassador Wang Xiaolong, Chinese Ambassador to New Zealand, who spoke on the growth of bilateral relations, trade development, and collaboration opportunities in emerging sectors such as green energy and technology innovation.

2025 Award Winners

The Awards recognized achievements across seven categories:

  • Entrepreneur of the Year: Aimer HQ
  • Innovation Award: Unicom Security
  • Marketing Award: New Zealand Miracle Water
  • Social Contribution Award: A China Travel Company
  • Company of the Year: Queen’s Jewellery
  • Special Award: Wellington Zhaotai Therapies
  • Member of the Year: Ben Lu, Founder of TT Concrete Ltd

Award winners were presented with trophies and certificates in a ceremony that celebrated their success, creativity, and contribution to the broader business community. Notably, Ben Lu, our founder, received the Member of the Year Award, highlighting his leadership and the growing influence of TT Concrete in New Zealand’s construction industry.

TT Concrete Among Finalists

TT Concrete Ltd was proud to be shortlisted for the 2025 Company of the Year Award. Although the award ultimately went to Queen’s Jewellery, TT Concrete received a Finalist Certificate, recognising the company’s outstanding performance, innovation, and contribution to New Zealand’s construction and concrete industry. This acknowledgement reflects TT Concrete’s growing reputation and commitment to excellence in the local market.

Strengthening Connections and Community

The 2025 Chinese Business Awards were more than a celebration of achievements—they were a platform for networking, collaboration, and community building. The event reaffirmed the NZCBC’s role as a bridge connecting Chinese businesses with the wider New Zealand economy, and highlighted the community’s vital contribution to economic growth and international relations.

Attending dignitaries included Auckland Deputy Mayor Desley Simpson, National Party MP Melissa Lee, Green Party MP Hsu Nan, former Labour MP Chen Naisi, representatives from the Chinese Embassy and Consulate, and key partners including Auckland Chamber of Commerce CEO Simon Bridges and PCG Oceania Chairman Li Wenxuan.
