On October 27, 2024, the 7th “Friendship Cup” Badminton Tournament concluded successfully at the Auckland Badminton Centre. Organized by the New Zealand International Women’s Association and co-sponsored by the New Zealand Olympic team’s official partner, PlaceMakers, alongside the New Zealand Chinese Building Industry Association (NZCBIA), this year’s event saw an impressive turnout with 37 teams and over 300 participants and spectators.

TT Concrete proudly made its debut in the event by sponsoring and fielding the “OA-TT Concrete” team in the Open Division. Competing for the first time, our team delivered an outstanding performance, securing fourth place in a highly competitive group. This achievement highlights not only our commitment to excellence but also our dedication to supporting community and sports initiatives.

The “Friendship Cup” is not only a sports event but also an important platform for promoting cultural exchange and strengthening community bonds. Among the distinguished guests were New Zealand MP Dr. Jian Yang, representatives from the Chinese Consulate-General in Auckland, PlaceMakers’ Asia Business Manager, and the NZCBIA President. They joined the award ceremony, celebrating the players and teams who exhibited remarkable sportsmanship throughout the day.

TT Concrete is committed to actively giving back to the community and supporting events that foster cultural exchange. We look forward to participating again next year and aiming for even greater achievements!
